Frequently Asked Questions

That’s all well and gut, but…

  • Before your appointment, please complete the pre-consultation forms and send any relevant test results, clinic letters or medical information. This allows me to review your history in advance and make the most of our time together.

You do not need to change your diet before the appointment.

Payment is required prior to your consultation and this can be via cash, BACS transfer or via card via the online booking system.

  • Aimee is recognised by BUPA, Aviva, WPA, Healix Health and Cigna.

If you plan to use private health insurance, please check with your insurer that your policy covers dietetic consultations, confirm the number of appointments authorised, and obtain an authorisation code before booking.

Please note that Aimee is not recognised by AXA or Vitality. If you are insured with either of these providers, appointments will need to be self-funded.

  • An initial one-to-one appointment is 45-60 minutes and follow up appointments are 30 minutes.

  • If you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, please provide at least 2 working days' notice.

Appointments cancelled with less than 2 working days' notice, or missed appointments, will be charged in full.

If your appointment is being funded by private health insurance, late cancellation fees are not usually covered by insurers. In these circumstances, the cancellation fee will be payable by you directly.

  • A Registered Dietitian is a legally-protected title. They are the only qualified and regulated health professionals with the Health Care Professions Councils (HCPC) that assess, diagnose and treat dietary and nutritional problems at an individual and wider- public health level. Every dietitian is a nutritionist, but not every nutritionist is a dietitian.

Anyone can call themselves a Nutritionist, therefore the title is unfortunately not regulated. It is important therefore, to check that you are taking your advice from someone who has the right qualifications.

  • If during your consultation further treatments or tests are recommended then we will write to your GP or consultant to request these.

  • We hold face to face clinics at 2 locations:

Yorkshire Sports Medicine Clinic, David Lloyd York, St John’s Playing Field, Hull Road, York YO10 3LG (use Sat Nav YO10 3LF)

Spire Hull and East Riding Hospital, Lowfield Road, Anlaby, Hull HU10 7AZ (every other Saturday 9am-1pm)

Contact us to find out more.

  • I offer both. Don’t let your location be a barrier to being seen.
