Ring Muscle Ups World Record Holder

Working with Callum Keen on his World Record attempt was an absolute pleasure. Initially, we focussed on achieving an optimal body composition that would allow him maximum strength to weight ratio. In these initial stages we worked together to ensure he was consuming adequate protein, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins and minerals whilst following a Vegan diet to allow for a reduction in percentage body fat.

Once he was at his optimal body fat we worked on maintaining this and fuelling his training optimally.

From a previous unsuccessful attempt, Callum knew the importance of nutrition during the event and how he had felt lacking in energy. To prevent this from happening again we developed a plan together for his nutrition and hydration throughout the event, to enable him to be appropriately fuelled without causing unnecessary side effects such as nausea or abdominal discomfort. We practiced our strategies on various training sessions, which allowed us to make adjustments if needed and be confident that our plan was going to work on the day.
